As the Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Affairs at the NCAA, his work provided innovative programming that helped shape the careers of hundreds of NCAA coaches, administrators, and student-athletes. He also served as the key administrator for joint programs with the NFL. Childress is an award-winning event organizer and has received multiple accolades from National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
